Joshua Hemmerling

Originally from Grand Haven, Michigan, Joshua moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend UTI and begin his career in the automotive industry.

He spent over 20 years at the same shop, working his way up from lot attendant to service advisor, to assistant manager, and eventually running operations as the service manager.

That experience, combined with late nights, weekends, and a relentless drive to learn, from MSSQL and MariaDB, to APIs, webhooks, and real-time data pipelines, to React, Laravel, and full-stack development, led him to found DataDyne and build PULSE, giving shops clear, real-time visibility into their performance.

His work spans Azure cloud infrastructure, Linux server administration, PHP/Laravel, React, Node.js, and Chrome extension development, with CI/CD via GitHub Actions. He's built deep integrations into Shop-Ware, Tekmetric, and RO Writer using webhooks and automation, along with Slack, Twilio SMS, and AI-powered analytics via Claude.
